The 10 Most Annoying Sitcom Characters of All Time

Will Ferrell’s attempt to fill Steve Carell’s shoes as the lead in *The Office* with the character Deangelo Vickers fell flat for many fans. Unlike the beloved Michael Scott, Deangelo lacked any redeemable qualities, instead bringing a palpable sense of discomfort to the office environment. His primary redeeming trait seemed to be making Andy Bernard his unwitting prank monkey, which only highlighted how unlikable he truly was.

Simon Moon, Daphne’s brother on *Frasier*, is intended to be a mischievous and entertaining character, but many viewers find it challenging to overlook his abrasive personality. His loudmouth antics and foolish behavior often overshadow the fun he’s supposed to bring, making him difficult to like. For UK fans, his Manchester roots and Cockney accent added another layer to his character, but even that couldn’t redeem him in the eyes of those who struggled to appreciate his antics.

Cheryl on *Curb Your Enthusiasm* endures plenty of challenges in her relationship with Larry, but her failure to defend him when he’s in the right often leaves viewers frustrated. In the episode “The End,” when Larry momentarily dies, her immediate concern shifts to his will, showcasing a lack of loyalty that puts her in a negative light. This self-serving attitude diminishes any sympathy viewers might have for her, making it hard to root for her character, especially when she seems more interested in what she can gain rather than supporting Larry through his struggles.
